Photo above, I was being driven around Tokyo, Japan in a very cool car owned by the son of a friend from the
Japanese Book Publishers Association (JBPA) who kindly arranged for me to play in the JBPA monthly golf game.

I was a guest of Yoshiro Yokomine who in addition to being a Japanese politician of the Democratic Party of Japan, is also one a member of the Asian Seniors Tour (AST) - (my rather expensive golfing hobby)... a few years ago he had a bit of a health scare but can now be found regularly contesting our various Asian Senior Masters (ASM) senior professional golf tournaments staged across the ASEAN and the Asia Pacific.

Yoshi (2nd from the left / on my right) took me to play at several courses and kindly introduced me to the owners, during one of the games, Kosuke Tanaka (who is also a member of the AST) and I had the great honor and privilege to play a round with Jumbo Ozaki - Japan's Jack Nichalaus.. (on my right).......

more to come......

We had a great dinner at the restaurant featured in the movie "Lost In Translation"

I bumped into an old UWC friend out on a golf course in the middle of no-where, believe that it was John Colin's son.....

As this was my first visit to Japan I spent quite a few days with my very good friend Kejiro Mori... who still works in Japan for KinoKuniya after over 20 years in Singapore, I think he is now number 4 or 5 on the totem pole...  Mori helped to set up and start KinoKuniya's first overseas book shop in the USA, and was then posted to Singapore where he set up their first book shop in Asia outside of Japan, and then went on to set up all the other bookshops for Kinokuniya in the Austral / Asia Pacific region and then later the Middle East.

Guys, my apologies, this is a work in progress............ more  but to come...........
